<p>The sugar beet lifter consists of two sloping plates (8, 8') on a support (9) connected to a mounting frame (10) fixed to the back of a tractor. The plates (8, 8') are positioned to dig into the soil, the support (9) consisting of two vertical uprights (90, 91). The mounting frame (10) consists of two vertical uprights (100, 101) joined by a horizontal beam (102) to form an inverted U shape. The top and bottom ends of the vertical uprights (90,100) and (91, 101) are joined by strips (11, 12, 13, 14) to form two parallelograms. The uprights (100, 101) support a shaft connected to the tractor's power takeoff, a belt drive rotating an eccentric mass above the plates to produce vibrations.</p> |
