<p>Treating equipment is for insulated, large diameter electric current carrying conductor with a high-pressure medium in a tube-shaped treatment chamber, wherein the conductor is suspended. An exit chamber is provided at the lower end of the container vessel and is fitted with a main locking or sealing unit, and auxiliary locking unit and with means for opening the auxiliary locking unit. The means for opening the latter locking unit become active in the period when the lower end of the insulated conductor arrives at the main locking unit. The equipment or plant is provided with a retainer mechanism arranged within the chamber and positioned near to the main locking unit. The retainer mechanism is arranged to regulate the feed-through rate of the lower end of the conductor.</p> |
