Axial piston engine with rotor and angled disc - operates with little noise over wide pressure range

The engine has a rotor with axial pistons which are moved against spring force by a swash plates mounted at an adjustable angle. The engine has a control disc with two kidney shaped control openings. The control disc openings have pressure equalising channels which are provided with chokes. Each pressure equalising channel has a profile at one end which has a low flow resistance and a profile at the other end which has a high flow resistance. The channels end with the low resistance end in the high pressure control opening and with the high resistance end in the low pressure control opening.
