Mould for prodn. of mouldings of integral foam comprises several mould components whose edges are tightly pressed together. The contact faces of the gaps are held as narrow as is practically possible. Elements for controlling the pre-determined gap spacing are associated with the gaps. The construction eliminates or minimises "flash" formation on the mouldings so that post-machining and/or de-flashing is unnecessary. Close control of the spacing between mould parts ensures complete filling of the mould when being charged with foamable material. This results in efficient venting of the mould during foaming so that prodn. of mouldings with undesirable voids is prevented.
