<p>The bistable tactile pin with mechanical interlock is for representation of braille symbols and employs an electromagnetically controlled vertical tilting or flexing effect. The bistable condition is achieved by the tilting of a mechanical element. The condition may also be achieved by tilting of two mechanical elements, flexing of a leaf spring or a combination of these motions. The motion may be produced by one or more moving magnet cores in the force field of an induction coil (solenoid), or by an impolarisable fixed magnet in this field.</p> |
