<p>Germicidal compsn. which contains sulphides, sulphones or sulphoxides of formula (I): (where n is 0,1 or 2; R1 is 6-18C alkyl; R2 is 1-18C alkyl, aralkyl, 2-4C hydroxyalkyl, -(CH2CH2O)m- or -(CH(Me)-CH2O)m-; m is 1-12) in addn. to quat. ammonium salts, phosphonium salts, phenols, phenol esters, ampholytes, aldehydes, povidone-iodine complexes, amino-oxides and/or amino-imides are new. (I) potentiates the activity of the germicidal constituents.</p> |
