Fuel tank venting regulator of an internal combustion engine is arranged into air channel with active carbon filter of the inlet manifold. This arrangement prevents excessive enrichment of the fuel mixture on starting by drawing stored fuel in the carbon filter. The amount of toxic gases in the exhaust is reduced and long starting times and poor idling are eliminated. A regulating valve (7) is placed between the active carbon filter (6) and inlet manifold (3). This valve opens at rotating speeds above idling speed. The plate of this regulating valve has a restrictor bore (8). A regulating valve (11) can be placed into air channel (9) from cooling blower to active carbon filter (6). This valve opens also at high speeds.
