The projecting free end 13 of this first connection part 5 has a semicylindrical bore and groove 11 in which a flanged end 12 of the cable conduit 3 is seated and retained therein by the second part 6 of the connector which has a corresponding semicylindrical bore and is secured to the first connection part 5 by bayonet-like integral ribs and grooves 16 to 19 which are formed on the respective connector parts 5, 6 and are slidingly engaged together. The connector parts 5, 6 are retained together by a flexible tongue 20 in the first part 5 which snaps into engagement behind a flange 21 as the other part 6, the parts 5, 6 being readily manually released at 22 by inward thumb pressure on the flexible tongue 20, The dimensions of the bayonet ribs and grooves on one side of the connection parts 5, 6 are unequal to those on the opposite side to prevent incorrect assembly of the two connector parts 5, 6. |
