Paint roller comprises a roller made of open-cell polyurethane foam, mounted on the transverse shaft of an open stirrup-shaped metal wire holder. The holder pref. consists of a metal wire of spring steel grade, and at its end which enters the handle is a deformed section which allows the handle to be force-fitted over the holder. The deformed section may consists of a flattened region of the wire, pref. on both sides, with bosses or similar shapes disposed on one or more edges of the flattened region and forming a transition zone with the initial cylindrical cross-section of the wire forming the holder. The roller has a large capacity for accumulation of paint, and is tough and lightweight, while allowing sufficient pressure to be applied to the roller itself. |
