Seat belt locking plate hook - is moved into easily reachable position by door closing or ignition switch using spring and pulley system

The design concerns a mechanism which automatically moves the seat belt locking plate into an easily reachable position, after the drive or passenger closes the door or the ignition is switched on. The locking plate (15) of a three-point suspension seat belt system is placed on hook (16) when not in use. The hook is fitted on a base block which slides in a C-shaped rail fitted over the door entrance. The block is fitted at the end of a cable assembly by lug (30) from where the cable runs over a pulley towards the car front. A further pulley changes its directions downwards towards pulley (29) from where the end of the cable connects to the window frame (31) of the door. The block is also fitted with tension spring (32) which endeavours to pull the block towards the car front.
