1485198 Screw pumps E LARSSON 22 April 1975 [22 April 1974] 16652/75 Heading F1F The rotor 1 of an internally-meshing screw pump has a configuration which is substantially identical to that obtained by winding a wire or bar of circular cross-section into a cylindrical helix, the outer diameter of the rotor being twice as large as the diameter of the wire or bar. The pitch of the stator threads are twice that of the rotor. The rotor may be formed by winding identical wires or bars 1, 2 around each other, each then becoming a potential rotor. Possible ways of correcting a drive shaft to the rotor are discussed, Figs. 3 and 5, (not shown) and a method of forming the stator is also described Fig. 7, (not shown). |
