Two part plastics housing for electric components - has component leads brought out through housing parts weld

The plastics housing is intended for various electric and electronic components which have to be tightly sealed against environmental effects. The component terminals are brought out through the housing wall(s). The housing consists of at least two parts, welded together, the terminals being brought out through the weld seam. The terminals are pref. wires, or flat strips, and they may be coated with an insulating layer. At the point, where they penetrate the seam and/or housing wall, they may have an enlarged surface. This surface may be roughened, or be provided with holding protrusions. The housing inside may have partitions in its welded condition. On assembly the space between the component(s) and the housing may be filled with insulating substance.
