The adjustable louvre shutter for the car rear windscreen is assembled from basic components to fit any shape and setting of window. The components are made in simple extruded form as well as simple mouldings and pressings. Support rails (3) are laid up the window and with the ends clipped into the sealing rubbers. The louvre blades (2) are cut to length and fitted with support cams (7) which are secured on the rails using tags (5) fitted to the rails. The support cams are linked by an adjusting rail (9) leading to a hand setting control. The system is suitable for mass produced cars and enables a wide range of models to be fitted from the same basic components.
