<p>The berry picking machine consists of a frame (12) which moves along the row of plants. The frame (12) has a cutter (18) on it for cutting off the crop from the plants. Near the cutter (18) is a lifting device (20) for lifting up the crop. The lifting device (20) consists of two pipes (30, 32) which can be moved up and down the picking machine and blow pressurized gas onto the plants, to lift them up into a position for picking. The lifting device (20) has a fan and, attached to the two pipes (30, 32) a pair of preferably rectangular sectioned nozzles (36, 38). Each nozzle (36, 38) has an adjustable throttle flap for the varying the quantity of gas discharged.</p> |
