<p>The compression has a press ram which can move into a container. It moves out of the device to pick up the material to be compressed for destruction. The ram can also be moved out of the container into a disengaged position. The ram is driven by a reversible electric motor, which drives a drive chain wheel and a drive chain which joins the drive and take-offsprockets. here is a tensioning device (120, 121, 123) which engages with the drive chain (109, 117, 118) on both sides of the drive chain sprocket (62). A pretensioning device (124) retains the drive chain and the tensioning device into their original position after switching off the motor.</p> |
