Mesh of plastic material which is resistant to fuel etc., and also to specific acids or low alcohol solvents is formed into a hollow cylinder located in the annular grooves of two plastic endcaps. Their material is also fuel resistant but is soluble in the specific solvents referred to above, one of which is used to make an adhesive based on the same material as that of the caps in the proportion of >=2 pts. wt. of solvent to 1 of plastic. This adhesive is then poured into the grooves. Suitability for large scale prodn. |
