Continuous drier for pieces or webs of thin material - has vacuum chamber with perforated upper plate

Drier has on the rear side of the plane through which the material passes a vacuum chamber (4, 5) with an upper plate (40, 50) with air passages (41, 51). The vacuum chamber has heating and/or cooling units (44, 54) which heat and then cool the upper plate bearing the material (2) to the surface. Above the surface of the upper plate may be guided the upper run of an endless air-permeable conveyor belt which supports the material and which may be made of a metal mesh. There may be several vacuum chambers disposed one behind the other in the same plane, or in the form of cylinder sections which together also form a cylinder section or corresponding curve. Drying is done without risk to the health of the operator.
