Equipment for sorting and stacking cut sections in a plate dividing plant includes equipment for stacking the cut sections on a lifting table in side by side positioned and apart spaced rows. The lifting table has a support surface for the cut sections formed by a roller track and has an adjoining distributor connected directly or by means of a lateral transport carriage to a number of roller tracks. The distributor (7) consists of a number of parallel continuously driven roller chains (8). In the off loading position (17) of the roller chains (8) are located number of stops (18) which are arranged side by side and independently activated. The stops (18) are either lowered or tipped through an off loading plane formed by the roller chains (8).
