The double acting hydraulic servo motor is for the transmission of a reciprocating rotary movement onto a rotating mechanism. This consists of a cylinder with sealed chamber containing a double-acting piston, and having supply- and outlet connections for the hydraulic pressure fluid. A curved piston rod projects from one piston end face through the cylinder chamber, to the other piston end face. The piston (9) and piston rod (2) each have a rectangular cross section. The side surfaces of the piston rod are in sliding contact with the curved walls of the cylinder chamber (8).
