Relative movement detector for tubular furnace - triggers pulses at time intervals for remote control of plant

Detector is used for determining relative movements between rotating tubes and the support ring of a rotary furnace. Relative movement is generated which is approximately equal to the circumference difference of the components rolling within each other. System produces measured values which can be transmitted to a switching station for remote control of the necessary play between the rotating tube and the bearing ring. These switching pulses are measured at intervals and the relative movement is evaluated from this information. The switching pulses are caused by opening and closing of a contact arrangement in an electrical circuit. One switching pulse is triggered for a relative movement of given extent or for a certain equal angular range. The time intervals of the switching pulses can be recorded on a time recorder for producing relative movement diagrams.
