1484210 Cyclodextrin clathrates ONO PHARMACEUTICAL CO Ltd 13 March 1975 [14 March 1974] 10560/75 Heading C3U [Also in Division C2] The invention comprises cyolodextrin clathrates with prostaglandins of the formula wherein X is ethylene or trans-vinylene; Y is ethylene or cis-vinylene ; R is H or C 1-12 alkyl; R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP> and R<SP>3</SP> each are H, C 1-12 alkyl or an aryl radical optionally substituted by one to three times by C 1-5 alkyl, C 1-5 alkoxy, C 1-5 alkylamino, C 1-5 alkylthio or di(C 1-5 alkyl)amino radicals or halogen atoms, with the proviso that at least one of R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP> and R<SP>3</SP> is alkyl or aryl; and A is a grouping of the formulµ and their preparation by reacting cyclodextrins with the appropriate prostaglandins.
