Ventilator unit has an axial-flow fan, gratings being mounted over the openings in the ducting at front and rear. The rear grating (4) is bent over at the top towards the front of the ducting (1), and the bent-over portion is covered by the top (14) of the latter. A hinged flap can be mounted in the rear edge of the frame clear of the grating bars, covering a chamber, separate from the interior of the ducting, accommodating a flexible cable, there being a recess formed in the edge of the flap through which the cable passes. The ducting can be of square cross-section, with the switchgear accommodated in two of the corners.
