<p>The sheet-metal handling equipment has a suction box with cover and frame and an abutment plate inside. On opposite sides of the frame are two or more frame bars in the form of suction strips (8), bearing downwards on the edges of the sheet (1) to be handled. The bars are in the form of suction tubes, preferably of rectangular section (13), to which sealing lips (14) are fixed, giving a U-shaped suction chamber (15). There can be suction strips on two opposite sides only, the other two sides of the frame having sealing strips pivoting on horizontal axes. These form seals against the edges of the sheet handled and against the suction strips.</p> |
