The primary reformers 10 may be supported on a deck 14 or on beams 12 extending across an opening of the hold 4. In the latter case, a steel screen 22 is provided between the reformers 10 and the beams 12 to close the opening of the hold 4. The walls of the reformers may be lined with a light-weight, fibrous refractory material and the primary reformer may be prefabricated prior to installation. |
