The circuitry of a television receiver is separated into two modules each supplied from a separate source to allow the unit to be used selectively as a video recorder. The power supply is coupled to separate sub-supply stages. The frame deflection stage, line deflection stage and tube are supplied from one supply stage. All other standard circuit modules are coupled to the other supply stage. For recording purposes only the second supply is switched in to allow the incoming signals to be processed without display. Replay of a recording may be effected by activation of the other supply stage, with the second switched out. The switching facility is housed in a separate module together with a time clock controlled selector for recording. |
