<p>1457274 Corrosion resistant alloy INTERNATIONAL NICKEL Ltd 13 May 1974 [25 May 1973] 25168/73 Heading C7A Manganese-nickel-chromium-iron alloys having a combination of low cost good hot and cold workability and good general and stress corrosion resistance contain by weight: while the alloys can be cold worked without annealing, to prevent excessive die wear during coinage production, annealing at 900‹C may be used. In coinage applications where a lower corrosion resistance is tolerable, the composition may be: with the C and Si impurities less than 0À1%. Lead may be present to improve the machinability of the alloys, and the alloys may be made using ferromaganese and ferro-chromium of low impurity contents.</p> |
