PURPOSE:To obtain the liquid crystal panel which is free from disturbance in orientation and is uniform by rubbing upper and lower substrates in the direction parallel with the ridge line directions of striped electrodes and intersecting the ridge line directions orthogonally with each other. CONSTITUTION:Transparent electrodes 2, 7 consisting of transparent conductive films are formed in a stripe shape on two sheets of the transparent glass substrates 1, 8. A polyimide resin is applied by a spinner as oriented films 3, 6 thereon and thereafter, the resin is subjected to a rubbing treatment in parallel with the ridge line direction of the electrodes 2, 7 by using a rubbing cloth. These substrates 1, 8 stuck to each other by disposing the surfaces of the oriented films to face each other in such a manner that the ridge lines of the electrodes 2, 7 intersect with each other and the rubbing directions 10, 11 intersect orthogonally with each other. The sealing resin 4 is cured by heating, by which the panel is formed. |
