1463307 FET bi-stable circuits SIEMENS AG 19 Dec 1973 [19 Dec 1972] 49709/73 Heading H3T Asymmetry in a cross-coupled FET bi-stable which causes erroneous setting when the input signals are small is overcome by using switches in the cross-coupling paths, and by turning off the power supply. Before cross-coupled FETs 3, 4 are set by input signals at 1, 2, the feedback cross-couplings are disabled by turning off FETs 12, 13; and further FETs 14, 15 are turned on to connect T3, T4 drains to their own gates. The voltage supply at 9, 8 is then reversed to turn off the bi-stable, and the further FETs 14, 15 are then turned off. The inputs 1, 2 are now permitted to change, and the voltage supply is restored. Finally, cross-coupling through FETs 12, 13 is re-established. The inputs may be applied alternatively to FETs 3, 4 gates (Fig. 6, not shown). These inputs are derived from a data storage cell (not shown) whose state is thereby refreshed. |
