<p>The framework for a mattress consists of a rectangular border of box-section beams (4). At intervals along the sider of the beam are bush members, each of which retains a coupling for a tubular cross bracing (6) leading to the opposite side of the frame. To provide a resilient support for cushions carried on the frame an array of parallel low shaped members (5) is assembled. Each low is hinged at the end and has some positional adjustment. The tubular members are attached to the housing by means of a rubber washer to provide additional flexibility.</p> |
