Coding and classifying system for passive memories - carries memories sequentially through coding, marking, classifying and testing stations

The automatic coding and classifying system is used for programmable passive memories, each provided with a protective case. It comprises a distributor for sequentially transferring the memories from a reception station (1) to coding marking and classifying stations (2, 3, 4) under control of a processor. At the coding station (2) a measuring head is brought into contact with each memory, which checks each memory position and selectively codes programmed memory positions. The marking station (3) prints a code denoting the memory type on each memory case of each valid memory. The memories are then forwarded through three further stations (5, 6, 7) for ejecting respectively wrongly coded, uncoded, and correctly coded memories.
