Vincamine adenylate (I) is new In an example, vincamine adenylate was prepd. by dissolving 5 g vincamine in 50 ml. methanol, warming to 40 degrees C then adding 4.9 g adenylic acid. Two hours of reflux and evaporation gave 9.9 g of prod. as a white amorphous powder. (I) is absorbed into the blood more rapidly and more effectively than vincamine itself and is taken orally, parentally or rectally.
