<p>The wheel lifter for use with a road vehicle has a pedestal (10) which rests on the ground and a tilting cradle (11) which carries the wheel (R) and can also be adjusted for height. The pedestal has a hollow mounting (14) and two legs (15) in V formation. Each leg consists of a tube which fits in a cylindrical sleeve (16) on the body (12) and a flexible ratchet can lock the tube in the sleeve. There is a slide in the hollow mounting (14) and a screw lock for it and the slide is pressed up by a spring, so lifting the wheel, with a jack action also.</p> |
