1476459 Lighting fittings SIEMENS AG 9 Aug 1974 [10 Aug 1973] 35285/74 Heading F4R A light projector includes a trough-shaped reflector 1 made of sheet-form material which is mounted between two side members 2, 3, each having respective integrally preformed mounted channels 4 which define the required axial end cross-sections for the reflector and in which the respective axial ends of the reflector 1 are fitted by bonding. The mounting channels 4 are integrally formed with the cast light metal side members 2, 3 with the reflector, which may be parabolic, bonded therein by welding, soldering or, preferably, adhesive bonding in which case the channel walls are of different heights to facilitate introduction of the bonding agent. The side walls may also include fillets 5 to enable a lamp holder 6 to be adjustably mounted in screw holes 7a-7d, and side reflectors may be screwed to bosses 8 in the side walls. The axially extending lamp 15 may be a halogen incandescent lamp or a discharge lamp having a power supply and firing unit mounted in a housing 17 which is also mounted in preformed channels 16 in the side walls. Further channels 21 at the edge of the side walls may accommodate other housing members. A duct 18 is provided between the reflector compartment and supply unit for the passage of connecting conductors 19. |
