The self-supporting corner joint is for use between wall sections of a piece of furniture joining at any angle, particularly electronic maintenance equipment, and which are coated with a layer of flexible material on one or both sides. A groove is milled out of the wall material at the corner which extends to the flexible coating. A profiled strip is inserted to suit the angle to which the wall sections will be bent in relation to each other. The strip (3) is in the form of a tube, slotted in the lengthwise direction, with flat flanges attached to the edges of the slot. Each flange bears with one surface against the respective wall section, and in the other one a series of grooves (6) are formed, running in the lengthwise direction. Stabiliser fittings (7) with mating protrusions (12) snap into engagement with the ribs.
|
