The hydraulic copier and a rapid-forward arranged four-way valve control a work cylinder. Screw stop-off plugs on the copier housing are removed. The copier and four-way valve are assembled directly together, obviating connection pipes and reducing the compressible fluid volume for accurate response. The pump (P) and tank (T) connector to copier (F) lines (12, 13) branch to the four way valve (V). The copier to cylinder (Z) connector lines branch to the valve. In one valve position (b) the lines are short-circuited with fluid flow direct from the pump to the cylinder and from the cylinder to the tank. The copier and flat shaped valve are one unit (E).
