<p>Hollow waveguide coupling connects two waveguides each having a connection flange to allow insertion of a slide-in unit (or chassis) into a receptacle arrangement, thus providing automatic interconnection of both parts of the coupling and automatic lining-up of the connection flanges. The plane of connection of the connection flanges is made parallel to the direction of movement of the slide-in unit (or chassis). One waveguide is rigidly connected to the first connection flange, and the other is movably guided into a slot in a clamp arranged on the wall of the appts. so that the clamp can move in a horizontal direction. The mutual centring of the two connection flanges is accomplished in the horizontal direction by means of guide pins fitting into matching slots, and in the vertical and axial directions by means of threaded bolts gripping into matching slots and pivotally fixed onto the second connection flange normal t o the connection plane.</p> |
