<p>Shaped sound-insulating panels, particularly for motor car construction, are moulded by normal deep-drawing techniques with vacuum or compressed air. Pref. a rubber sheet overlies the formable sheet and the mould, which is released on removing vacuum. The tools are cheaper than with stamping methods, any protective film used is also better formed and rejection rates are lower. Deeper drawing is possible of stamping, without cracking the material, if performed at higher temp., it is even more effective.</p> |
