<p>Device for bevelling, sharpening or similarly treating cylindrical workpieces with a head or flange is described. A rotating table is situated coaxially w.r.t. the tool and on this table are mounted workpiece holders composed of the elements of the workpiece holders and spindles. These are arranged with their axes parallel to the axis of the rotating table and movable w.r.t. the tool mounted in a frame below the table, with a cooperating ring attached to the frame for guiding the workpieces and with a drive plate rotating with the table and provided with grooves into which the workpiece shafts fit. The upper surface of the cooperating ring guides the heads of the workpieces, the shafts of which are guided into the groove of the drive plate, the length of the internal surface of the cooperating ring. The upper surface of the cooperating ring has, between the introduction and removal positions of the workpieces, >=1 surface inclined in the direction of the motion of the workpieces guided by the rotating table, for an automatic feed of the workpieces towards the tool. The feed of the workpiece is automatic since it is guided by the cooperating ring. The inclined surface of the ring allows the workpiece to move the exact distance towards the tool. The arrangement of tool holders is also simplified.</p> |
