Line transformer for TV receiver - avoids mechanical adjustment by having inner and outer parts of HV winding wound in given way on LV winding

The line transformer, for a TV receiver, requires no mechanical adjustment and consists of an HV winding around the relatively long LV winding. The transformer is tuned to a harmonic (5th) of the line flyback frequency by winding the first part (3) of the HV winding along a greater length of the LV winding (2) than the second part (4) of the HV winding. The second part is wound over the first part. The first part of the HV winding is the same length as the LV winding and accounts for 20% of the total turns number of the HV winding. The wires of the first part are thicker than the wires of the second part.
