The D/D or A/D converter- or any other converter producing a digital output - contains switches to produce combinations of binary output signals depending on various input signals. A control input allows control signals to be fed in having either the first or the second binary state. The switches are amplifiers and depending on the control signal's binary state are connected to one or the other of two input terminals. The level of the output signal elements, which represents the one of the other binary value, thereby has high or low values.
