The bottom part of the enamelled pressure vessel (1) has an annular flat stamped portion (2) which surrounds an opening (12) and on which an annular flange (3) welded on along its inner and outer edge rests snugly, the inside diameter (d) of the flange being smaller by twice the width (a) of the inner weld (4) than the diameter of the opening (12). The inner weld (4) forms a rounded transition over which the enamel coating (5) runs without the formation of sharp edges, which would cause flaking of the enamel. A cover (10) fastened by means of bolts (8) and nuts (11) is used as a closure for the opening (12). This construction is particularly suitable for hot-water boilers. <IMAGE> |
