1483848 Rotary positive-displacement fluidmachines HOKUETSU KOGYO CO Ltd 19 Sept 1975 [24 Dec 1974] 38619/75 Heading F1F In a meshing-screw compressor, a cooling, lubricating and sealing liquid is injected through openings 15 in a throughput-controlling slide-valve 10 at a rate commensurate with the gas throughput, the volume flow-rate L of the liquid expressed as a percentage of the volume flow-rate of the liquid at fullload being kept between an upper limit 103 - 330/G+10 and lower limit 4/5G + 20, where G is the volume flow-rate of the gas expressed as a percentage of the volume flow-rate of the gas at full-load. The liquid is supplied from a gas and liquid separating tank 28 and passes through overlapping slots 16, 22 in the valve and the casing 1 so that the flow-rate of the liquid is regulated in accordance with the setting of the valve, which is effected by a piston 18. Liquid collected in a discharge chamber 34 is extracted by a pump 36. Other embodiments, Figs. 3-6 (not shown), differ only in that the slots are formed in co-axial relatively slidable tubular elements associated with the valve 10. In a further embodiment, Fig. 7 (not shown), the flow-rate of the liquid is regulated by a needle-valve attached to the valve 10. |
