<p>The show consists of a ring (10), split at the rear or heel end (12), with a lower flange (14), extending inwards, upon which the wall of the roof bears and an upper flange (16) with which it forms an acute angle and which encloses the sides of the hoof. both flanges are approx. 1 cm. wide, and taper in thickness towards their free edges, the greatest thickness being where the two flanges meet (18). The ends of the ring (12) curve inwards to encircle the hoof, each ending in a lug (20) with a hole (26) for a nut. Two strips (22), rising at 45 deg. from the rear, end in lugs (24), provided with holes (26) for bolts. These lugs meet at the junction of the hoof and leg.</p> |
