MASTER BATCH FOR PRODUCTION OF TONERS USED IN ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHY

There is disclosed a method of producing a master batch for the production of toner particles used in electrophotography, which comprises: (a) preparing a resin solution; (b) preparing a mixture which has a dye or a pigment finely dispersed in the resin solution; and (c) removing the solvent from the mixture. There is also provided a method of producing toner particles for use in electrophotography, which, in addition to the above steps (a), (b) and (c) for the preparation of a master batch, further comprises: (d) adding a further amount of a second binder resin to the master batch together with an effective amount of an additive when necessary, to form a second mixture, and kneading the second mixture to a composition; and (e) crushing the composition to toner particles.
