1477608 Gasifying solid fuels C OTTO & COMP GmbH 14 March 1975 [18 April 1974] 10692/75 Heading C5E A process of gasifying solid, pulverulent, or fine-grain fuel comprises introducing the fuel into a gasifier under pressure by means of a gas, the gas being a sub-flow derived from combustible gas generated in the gasifier. Preferably the combustible gas is subjected to dust extraction and cooling before the sub-flow is drawn off and compressed for use in fuel injection. Alternatively the combustible gas may be used in a reduction ore extraction before part of the reduction process gas is separated, subjected to dust extraction, de-acidified, dried and compressed for use in the fuel injection. Suitable flow paths are exemplified.
