<p>1472402 Separating air CRYOPLANTS Ltd 10 July 1974 [18 July 1973] 34113/73 Heading F4P An air separation process for producing liquid N 2 comprises compressing and cooling feed air at 1, 3, and then separating it in column 4 into N 2 vapour and O 2 -enriched liquid fractions, the O 2 -enriched liquid being expanded at 5 and heat-exchanged at 6 with part of the N 2 vapour which is thus condensed and returned to column 4 as reflux, the rest of the N 2 vapour being liquefied at 9, and a part of the liquid N 2 produced being returned to column 4 for cooling thereof.</p> |
