<p>The payment terminal allows goods or services to be paid for by using a credit card, having a magnetic layer on which the identity of the card holder and his credit data are recorded. The credit card is inserted in the payment terminal and the credit data is read from it. The price of the goods are supplied to the payment terminal by a manual input and the price is displayed. A calculator is connected to the input and to the credit card reader, to calculate the difference between the allowed credit and the total price. The calculator is connected to a printer, for recording the purchases and the identity of the purchaser.</p> |
