<p>A one man or two man vehicle, particularly a ski bob, incorporates a balance control system employing a mechanical transmission arrangement, suitably operated by the driver, so that no muscular force is necessary. Thus to oppose the effect of centrifugal force, weights which are independent of the driver's weight and also that of a passenger can be suitably displaced. These weights are eccentric to the axis of rotation of the vehicle. Alternatively, extra outrigger wheels (14) can be raised and lowered for the same purpose. The transmission systems may use compressed air, electric batteries, pumps, or electric or hydraulic circuits with suitable switches, controls, etc.</p> |
