<p>Multi-purpose fluids contg. >=1 cpd. of formula (in which R1R2 and R3 are H or 1-5C alkyl, >=1 being alkyl; the R4 gps. are H and/or methyl; n is 2-400). The fluids pref. also contain anti-oxidants, anti-corrosion agents, EP additives or anti-foaming agents, and >=1 other functional fluid consisting of alpha-olefine oils, mineral oils or glycols. As hydraulic fluids, lubricating oils, metal treatment or metal working oils, heating media, etc. Much improved heat stability compared with known polyoxyalkylene glycols and their ethers. Swelling action on rubber seals is small.</p> |
