The wall-inset housing, for electrical installations such as switches, consists of a cylindrical split socket and that fits into a hole in the wall and projects into the cavity and a cylindrical container that fits into the socket and holds the electrical installation. The split socket is open at both ends and has external ridges to engage the wall and an internal lip around its inner end to engage projecting ridges around the rear of the container. The container inner end has a dia. such that the socket expands radially when the container is pushed into it and thereby firmly engages the wall. The cable enters through a hole in the rear side of the container.
|
